Unicorn Moving and Storage

As always, the team at Unicorn was fantastic. They’re punctual, professional, and somehow managed to make me laugh in the middle of moving chaos — no small feat. We’ve relied on them for years to move heavy furniture around both the house and garden, and we deeply appreciate every single one of them. This time, they tackled some incredibly heavy pieces we could never have moved ourselves — including a massive stone birdbath that had to be carried clear across our two-acre property. They handled it all with ease, good humor, and total professionalism. I honestly can’t say enough good things about them.

I’ve used Unicorn Moving & Storage in the past and been satisfied with their services. My most recent move, however, did not go at all well. My house flooded so I had to hastily move things to one room and then have them packed and sent to storage. When the movers came to do the packing, I explained that they needed to check any boxes before sealing them because things had been moved without careful packing during the flood. When I got my stuff back weeks later, I discovered that, not only had they simply loaded boxes without checking or sealing them, they had also done a terrible job of packing everything else. The biggest problems included: • Putting my flat screen tv into the van without packing it at all (I got it back smashed); • Packing my media center by wrapping plastic wrap around it without removing the DVD player and soundbar that were on the shelves; • Putting framed art into boxes without any padding (causing scratches to the frames and tears to the backs); • Throwing clothing on hangers loose into random boxes but then using wardrobe boxes to pack other things, including putting a heavy sewing machine at the very top of one wardrobe box; and • Using a family heirloom quilt to wrap a piece of furniture (I found it loose in the moving van when my furniture was returned). I consider myself fortunate that the damage, except for the television set, was minor, but It was still heart-wrenching to open boxes and see how carelessly my possessions had been treated. Ironically, the packing crew was very proud of how fast they completed the job. If they had just taken more care, I would be much happier, and their company would have made more money since I was paying them hourly. I immediately reported this problem to the company and was told that this isn’t how they do business and that they would look into the situation. Three months later, all I’ve heard from them is a request for the same information I had already submitted. I will not be using Unicorn Moving & Storage in the future.

Moving is usually stressful… but Unicorn made it feel easy and smooth. On October 6th, they showed why they are one of the best moving companies out there. Everything was on time, well organized, and with great attitude from beginning to end. I want to give a special mention to the three guys who helped us: TJ, Steve and Steve —yes, two different people named Steve, and both were amazing. Each one worked with energy, precision, and a lot of care. They were respectful, fast, and worked together like a perfect team. Honestly, they made the difference. Unicorn didn’t just move our things, they changed the way we see good service. In a world full of average, they gave us something excellent. Thank you for making this move a great experience. Five stars, well deserved. Totally recommended.

This group of guys are pros in every way. They did an awesome job relocating my household and they’re extremely kind , courteous and helpful in every way. If I have further need for moving help they’ll for sure be first on my list . Thanks Unicorn for a job well done ! Unicorn Moving was amazing, from start to finish. Kimberly and Gizela were great getting things scheduled, Brent was super professional and gave a thorough explanation of the estimate and what it would take to get everything moved. The real stars were Ray, Joseph, and Steve: showed up on time, did the heavy-lifting, were quick, careful, and made sure all of our stuff was handled with care. Those three guys knocked it out of the park and we’re ao thankful to them for taking care of us!! If you need moved, these are the folks you want.
