I had an amazing experience moving with Superb Moving!
I called 7-8 other moving companies, and they gave me the BEST flat price. No hidden fees. Includes certificate of insurance and disassembly/assembly.
They arrived at exactly 1 pm even though the arrival window was 1 pm - 3 pm. Peter and his colleague came very well prepared, packed everything QUICKLY AND EFFICIENTLY, and took it all down at once. The entire process took only 45 mins.
At the new residence, I waited at the apartment and they got everything upstairs in one go. Assembled furniture and put items where I asked.
Peter and his colleague wrapped everything quite well, there were no damages at the end. Very smooth and quick process.
Thank you Superb Moving for your services!!

Super easy to work with! Alex in the office set everything up and gave me a great price, no hidden charges. George and two movers showed up today and had me fully moved out of old place and into my new place in 3.5 hours! They also got a huge couch in and out of spaces, five years ago my previous movers were not so pleasant about it lol. Everyone was great to work with, and could not have made it easier! Thank you.

I was going to give a 5 star review... movers were nice and helpful as I'm in a cast and crutches. From a small bedroom apartment in Brooklyn to Manhattan. Both were walk ups and I definitely needed help!
Price was great and I gave a tip per person. I felt that it was inappropriate that the mover texted me asking for a higher tip. Tips are optional not the requirement. I felt very uncomfortable as they knew where I lived and that I was living alone so I gave in.
As well, they called and requested to come 2 hours prior to when they had booked which made me rush my packing and cleaning my apartment.
Lastly, I found out that one of the people moving me was not even apart of the company. He was a friend of the person working. That was very strange to have someone not interviewed going into my home.
I would recommend regarding the price but the service was so/so.
The communication between the service rep was great and quick but the movers really put a sour taste in my mouth.

I used them for my move in December. They never conducted a walkthrough of my 2 level home. They sent a bread truck to move me out of someplace I had lived for almost 20 years. They sent a second truck 5 hours later. Long story short, all of my items did not make it from my previous home to the new one. I still owned the other property so I checked everywhere. In addition to that, I was charged for the second truck. If you do decide to do business with them put air tags with your stuff and use AMEX. Suddenly they are non-responsive to my emails.

It was a horrible and uncomfortable experience - and it was only afterward that I realized the mover had (likely intentionally) damaged several of the items.
The lead worker on the move was menacing, angry, rude, and sloppy. Immediately after arriving, he took out the list and pointed out that the number of boxes on it didn't match what I had asked for. He was not wrong about this. I also had some items (a few picture frames that were fragile and not in the boxes, two duvets not in the boxes, a small but heavy safe) that were not on the list either.
But what alarmed and upset me was how he chose to handle this. He said, you MUST promise us a 20% tip, and also pay me additionally hundreds of dollars (he did not specify how many hundreds) for the extra items. He said if we cut a deal on the side, he wouldn't tell the moving company, and could pocket the money himself. I did not want to agree to this as I don't want to be ripped off. And I don't like being told, before the work is even done, that I must tip as he wishes.
I pointed out to him that the tip comes AFTER the job is done, for a job that's well done, and is not mandatory nor should I be forced to promise it. His manner was very menacing.
He threatened me that because I wasn't agreeing, he would quit the job, leaving us stranded on our move-out date without a mover. He also implied through his behavior and angry movements that he would do a bad job and damage the items.
Well, he ended up doing both. He refused to move many smaller items, saying that I didn’t deserve to have them moved - even after I spoke to George back at the office and agreed to pay an extra $150 (not including tip.) I had to return to the apartment two times that evening to move the rest of the items, including that safe.. with the help of my 81-year-old dad who has Alzheimer's and his 60-year-old health aide.
And he damaged several of the items. The aide later pointed out to me that she had seen him piling chairs upside down into a box, without any sort of padding or wrapping.
One chair was broken in three places. A wooden side table was badly dented. One bed post on was snapped off at the top, and the top of another one was entirely missing. A lampshade was entirely broken and is now unusable. And keep in mind this wasn't a big move.So basically, a large percentage of the items were damaged.
I don't know if he realized or even cared, but the person he was hurting through this was my 81-year-old sick dad, not me. So his "lesson" about how a single female should learn to shut her mouth and open her wallet without question, or suffer the consequences - didn't damage my furniture, but that of an old man.
And after all this, he had the nerve to stand there with his hand out waiting for a tip. As I had not yet realized the extent of the damage, and also felt bad for his assistant, I handed him an extra $100 in cash. It was only after I started to see the damage that I wish I hadn't done that. And he acted angry that he hadn't gotten 20%, if you can believe it – despite already knowing the kind of work he had done.
UPDATE .. 4 MONTHS LATER:
This business has no shame. They’re refusing to pay the joke 60 cent per pound insurance, after telling me to “take my time” in sending them photos of the damage .. these same photos I sent back in October.. after giving me the run around on the phone for months they’re now claiming the time has run out and they don’t see damage in these photos. What a sad sad group of people. I will be pursing other means of getting a full refund on the move. Thank god I paid for it on a credit card
AND THE SAD CONTINUES:
They told me the only way they’d pay the paltry $0.60 per pound insurance is if I take down this review. Pretty sure that’s not legal. They can keep the money. It’s my donation for making sure I’ve done my part to warn others off this business
