My overall all experience with my movers was awesome. I choose Johnny on the move. And I'm glad I did. They were wonderful. First of all, before I booked them, I was stressed out. My husband was in charge of securing the movers. We had less than a week to move a 3 bedroom, 2 bath house. Unfortunately his movers fell through. So I went online, and it was like looking for a needle in a haystack. It was so many movers to choose from. But I finally chose Johnny on the Move. First, Jacquline was great. She was friendly and answered all my questions. Second the movers was on time. They packed my house in a little over an hour. If left up to me, I would have just put the items on the truck. But they took time to carefully wrap each item before placing it on the truck. Third, they were so friendly. When we got to my new home. It felt like we were friends. They carefully unpacked each item. They arranged it just as asked. And they cleaned as they went. Lastly, there were items that I needed moved to the basement. It wasn't part of the move. But they were heavy, and I couldn't do it myself. I asked if they would do it. And they did. I was so pleased with them, I gave them a generous tip. They took the stress out of what could've been a very stressful situation. I would definately recommend Johnny on the Move. They're very professional.

My choice to choose Johnny on the Move was because they were the least expensive on the list provided by Move Matcher. That was a HUGE mistake. They were scheduled to move me from 8am - 12pm. They arrived at 11:30am, citing a flat tire. We I expressed my concern about the late start and the fact that I reserved the elevator in my building from 8am -12pm, I was told I would still have to pay $80/hr for any time beyond 2hrs. There was no empathy, concern or consideration for my position, dispite it being caused by their tardiness. To make matters worse, during the move they broke 3 lamps. When I asked will they pay for my lamps, I was reminded of the document I signed stating that I was only covered for .30 cents per pound. I was told I COULD HAVE purchased additional insurance that would have covered the cost of my lamps (but I was never offered this insurance before). I also found several of my art pieces were damaged. When I called the company on Monday to express my disatisfaction, the phone was answered and I was asked my name. When I said my name the guy on the other end hung up the phone. I immediately called back and no one answered the phone. This was the worst move in my entire life and a very expensive lesson. Everyone has a choice with whom to do business, I recommend you do your due diligence, read the fine print and proceed at your own risk, IF you choose to use this company.

PLEASE READ IN ITS ENTIRETY. So I just had Johnny on the move help us with our move over the weekend. All I can say is BEWARE!!! The guys arrived on time which was good. They worked really hard getting my stuff on the truck. I moved out of a two bedroom condo into a house. The problem is they quoted me $420 for the first two hours and $110 per hour after that. They brought a truck that barely fit my furniture and boxes. Once they filled up the truck, I still had a whole house full of stuff that literally took another trucks worth to fill up. They drove about 30 miles to my new house which took them an hour and a half to get there. Then after paying over $1k to move the first truck, they had to drive all the way back ( on my dime) to get the rest of my stuff. We called to speak with the manager that set up our appointment and they said they would get someone to help the 3 guys that were already moving to speed up the process. That guy never came. The management was complete unhelpful. The whole job took a total of 16 hours (6 hours of drive time worth $660) to move everything which all could’ve been avoided had they brought a bigger truck. The last trip back to my house they left at 9:50PM and they got to my house at 11:30PM ( I timed them) when they got to the house they said I had to pay for an addition 2 hours for them to load off the second truck into my garage. At this point I paid them another $880 and they said if it takes less than 2 hours of time to unload the truck I’ll get the different back. I had to do something so I helped them move it off the truck my self. It took 29 minutes. They charged me an hours worth and refunded me the $110.The total job cost me over $1700 to move a small 2 bedroom condo with barely any big furniture. That’s ridiculous. I’m upset and feel like I was complete cheated. Get this too, They almost broke my $2000 glass table cause one of the guys dropped the glass also they ruined a brand new glider chair.Their policy for damaged items is .30/ pound so if your $5k TV gets broken and weighs 100 pounds all you get is $30 bucks???? Complete SCAM!! I wish someone did a review on them like this because I would’ve never hired them. This should’ve been a 6-7 hour job MAX. Please do some research when moving so you don’t have to do the work for them and take your things off the truck while your paying for them to do it.

I would start off by saying this is my second time hiring johnny on the move and I couldn't be more happier with the results. First time they moved out a 2 bedroom apartment to a full size home and they were very respectful of our items and belongings. And this time around even better. They were on time cautious with bigger items and very professional. Pricing was very reasonable and I'm definitely going to contact them for the next move.

I am the property manager at an apartment complex this company just did a move in for. They not only left keys just laying out that we could never find, but they use other residents' belongings to prop open doors and damaged their property. They blocked the resident that hired them, and haven't returned my calls. I wasn't even a customer of theirs and saw how disrespectful and unprofessional they were. I would not recommend using this company ever.

1. They arrived at 7:15 although I was told on the phone that they would arrive at 8am. They never confirmed an arrival window which was what the lady claims justified their earlier arrival. 2. They did not explicitly tell me up front that they would not unload my truck without payment first. While I'm getting the cash they are threatening to leave with my stuff I'm upset that the did not even start unloading while I was getting the cash. They were not amenable at all. I understand some customers have not paid in the past but why are u penalizing me for what previous customers have done. How can u build a trusting clientele like that. They sat in the truck doing nothing while I got the cash letting the price go higher and higher. I was quoted 670 and in the end paid almost 1,000. Hen they are rushing to unload my truck and damaged my dresser claiming they don't have enough time to go to strorage. They would have had time if they started unloading. 3. Very unprofessional. The mover told my landlord he didn't know why I hired a moving company since I did not have much stuff. Who says that. Horrible experience with a company that was not trustworthy. Horrible customer service as well.
