Coffey Bros Moving - Porte

Sam, Jeremy and Darrin were professional, hard working and kept me giggling all day! I appreciate their attention to detail and hard work to keep everything moving to cause me as minimal stress as possible. As you can see from the photos, no problem was too big for them to solve! I would recommend Coffey Bros and this crew wholeheartedly!!

UPDATE- 3/17/2025, in response to this company's reply, if they were serious about rectifying the situation, they have my name and contact information and can reach out to me to resolve the situation, but have not as of this date. I see the list of complaints and poor reviews against your company listed here and they're all the same and so are their responses. This company is in business to take advantage of their customers and that's it. Shame on you! I am going to do whatever I can to get you shut down! You should be ashamed of yourself but you probably have no conscience. You will reap what you sow and more than you sow, remember that. Do not use this company, they are scammers and they will damage your furniture! This company quoted me $1,060 to move my furniture from Illinois to Wisconsin and then did a bait and switch when we got to Wisconsin and charged me three times the amount to unload the truck and refuse to give me my furniture until I paid $2,803 and when it was all said and done they charged me $3,133.21 without my consent. And they also damaged my furniture. I immediately alerted the Mover Edgar and he said that it was impossible that the bed was not put together right and that he put it together himself and that if he came back up it would be more money. I decided not to let them come back up because I had already spent more money than I had anticipated and money that I did not have. I had someone come and inspect the bed and it was discovered that slats were missing and they didn't put the pegs on the bed either. I have an upholstered bed, which requires 10 to 12 slats. When they lifted my bed up, the bed only had two and the pegs were laying on the floor instead of attached like they should have been. They also ripped box spring and there's a huge stain on the headboard, which was not there prior to the move. My set is less than 2 years old. I contacted the company on February 17th about the charges and they denied the claim. I contacted the company on March 13th after I had the furniture inspected and they also denied that claim. They stated that they cannot accept responsibility for the damages as it is too far out and I only have 72 hours to report any damages, which is impossible as I'm still unpacking because they left my house in total disarray and I wanted to make sure that there were no other items damaged and there were. I have filed a claim what the Illinois Attorney General's office and I'm waiting for the company's response. There is no way this company has a 4.6 rating, they are very shady and very dishonest people. Do not use them. Beware!

This is the second time that we've used Coffey Bros Moving service here in Chicago and the second time was better than the first! Jeremy and Sam were our movers for our condo and they were incredible. We couldn't have asked for better service, especially given how much we had to get moved out of here and where we needed it delivered. They were on time, moved quick and were phenomenal handling all our belongings and packing out our small POD at the on site facility we had requested everything be delivered to. Absolute troopers with also helping us bring overflow items back to our condo the same day. Truly the best and we honestly could not be more thankful. Not sure why there are so many negative reviews because we've had nothing but positive experiences with them. If we weren't moving out of Chicago, we'd have absolutely used their services again. Support your local businesses everyone!

Top-notch moving experience! This crew made a stressful day feel easy. They were quick, efficient, and treated my belongings with real care. Not only was the price totally reasonable, but they also made sure my walls, floors, and doorways stayed flawless—no scratches or scuffs anywhere. They had great attitudes and stayed professional the entire time. I’m beyond happy with how it all went and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them to anyone!

Eduardo and Freddy came out to do a move for our agency. We were impressed by their professionalism and speed. There were only two of them, and we had some heavy items. They got the whole move done in less than the time we thought.
