Maribeth Gunderman, Sales Manager at Southbay Moving Systems, is a rare find in the business world – superbly competent, kind and patient. My move involved several destinations, rescheduling three times, along with my remote location and difficult driveway access. Ms. Gunderman knew exactly how to handle all of it, often assuring me of Southbay’s experience and expertise. A part of me was skeptical of her promises until her management and the excellent crew who did the work performed above and beyond what she had led me to expect. As a business owner myself, it often occurred to me that Ms. Gunderman is an absolutely invaluable asset to the company. Southbay Moving delivered perfect service with the true caring and attention to detail that we middle-aged folk have come to believe is a thing of the past. At Southbay it is NOT! The moving crew also brought competence and caring. They were personable, and worked more quickly than any crew I’ve ever seen. (I’ve moved across the country six times.) They are not just guys the company picks up, but long-term employees. It shows. I would recommend Southbay Moving Systems for any moving job. Maribeth truly understands how stressful moving is. She not only managed the move but also "managed" my stress, not with empty promises and platitudes, but with an explicit plan, down to the smallest detail and a crew capable of delivering on them. I could have asked for nothing more. She actually made moving almost enjoyable!

"Shout Outs" Maribeth G., Admin Office - She was incredibly helpful in scheduling our end-of-year move, managing tight constraints like a pro. Peter M. and His Team - Their careful packing ensured that not a single item was damaged out of the 17,000 pounds moved from our 2,500 square foot home. Derek and Nancy - A fantastic transport team who handled our cross-country move from CA to VA with punctuality and professionalism. Having served 20 years in the US Navy and experienced numerous PCS moves, I can confidently say that Southbay has provided the best service we've ever had. Unlike other companies, Southbay manages your entire moving process internally, ensuring quality and accountability. The dedication to excellence from every team member and the direct involvement of the company owner made a significant difference. They truly listened to our concerns and tailored their services to meet our needs. Bottom Line: For any future moves within the US, Southbay will be my first call. This moving company was absolutely awesome! The team was professional, efficient, and incredibly helpful from start to finish. They truly work with you in every way possible to make the move smooth and stress-free. I couldn’t have asked for a better experience and would highly recommend them to anyone! I will definitely work with them again no questions asked.

As a service member, this is the first moving company that handled my house hold goods with care and even when I couldn’t be there due to a vehicle shipment appointment. They still were able to work with me and sent workers who were bilingual and could communicate with my grandmother who was supervising the arrival of my HHT. All of my HHG arrived in good condition from overseas if I ever have to move my HHG again I would recommend these guys to the DOD for service members stationed in California.

Very professional personnel at ALL levels. From Maribeth who was personable, concise, and very responsive as my first contact with Southbay. To Carlos who came by and took an accurate assessment of our home and all it's contents. Then the 3 strong and polite movers who were on time, knew how to wrap, tape, and move all the items in our house, so that each item arrived at our new home ready to put in place.
