Thank you just does not seem sufficient for the exemplary service I received from Southbay Moving Systems Inc. From the onset of the moving process, Maribeth provided outstanding customer service to me. She was patient and compassionate with me during what was a very challenging time for me. I was extremely pleased with her timely responsiveness and technical expertise. She ensured on the front end of the process, that everything would be handled professionally with the highest standard of care on the back end of the process. Having a company representative like Maribeth, truly contributes to your organization's success. Because of my experience with her, I confidently provided recommendations to others. One of which immediately contacted her for the their future moving needs. Adam Whitfield, who was the Southbay Driver, was a joy to work with. He also displayed an exemplary level of moving expertise, witnessed by his timelines, coordination with contractors and the efficient packing out and delivery of my treasured household items. The leadership he displayed in York, Pa., Baltimore, Maryland and Charlotte, NC., exceeded my expectation of the industry standard for a professional moving experience. I plan on sharing with others the phenomenal experience I encountered in planning and implementing my move with Southbay. Your company truly sets the industry standard, continue to do great work!

I had a really smooth experience with Southbay Moving Systems Inc. The movers were on time, efficient, and very polite throughout the entire process. They handled my belongings with care, everything arrived in perfect shape with nothing damaged or broken. Once everything was inside, they even offered to help with a few extra things, which I really appreciated. It’s clear they take pride in their work and customer service. Overall, a great company and one I would definitely use again for a future move.

Others seem to have great experiences with Southbay Moving Systems, which makes ours even more disappointing. My husband is active duty military and Southbay was assigned to our unaccompanied baggage. We were 4 days from our flight overseas, and Southbay didn’t show up for their contracted move. They didn’t even contact us. I had to reach out to them each time the arrival window they provided us passed. In the end, they showed up the next day; 24+ hours after they initially told us to expect them. The amount of stress that added to our already tight timeline was unreal. Mario Reyes eventually called me and blamed the Army. He told me they’ve been assigning Southbay too much work. I was sure to leave his feedback in my DOD review. Hopefully they’ll start receiving a more manageable workload. We received our belongings today, and will have to file multiple claims for dented and damaged belongings. The team manually pulled apart a collapsible rack that had no reason to be taken apart, and now can’t seem to be put back together. There are also several items that appear to be missing, but we will look into that further before filing it with the Army. The German moving company assigned to our delivery commented on over-filled/heavy boxes and belongings that were not packed appropriately. Apparently, items Southbay workers decided were close enough to being boxes weren’t packaged in any way whatsoever, and were transported without proper protection. On a disgusting and related note, Southbay packed our backpacks, clothing, and my husband’s field training sleeping bag inside our cat’s litter boxes. Fortunately, we cleaned and sanitized everything prior to moving. However, the boxes are now warped and unusable from their unprotected transport. Items with a similar fate are our laundry hampers and our recycling/trashcan. I was pleasantly surprised when Mario Reyes came to our home himself for a large portion of the day to oversee the packing team. Today, I can only assume he finds this quality of work appropriate. Because of his team’s inability to keep a timeline, Southbay was at our home at the same time as another Army contracted team for a different purpose, and I wish I had paid more attention to the work being performed by Southbay Moving Systems.

I want to emphasize right off the bat—Southbay is the real deal. Their team, from the admin office to the field, treated my property with the utmost care and professionalism. "Shout Outs" Maribeth G., Admin Office - She was incredibly helpful in scheduling our end-of-year move, managing tight constraints like a pro. Peter M. and His Team - Their careful packing ensured that not a single item was damaged out of the 17,000 pounds moved from our 2,500 square foot home. Derek and Nancy - A fantastic transport team who handled our cross-country move from CA to VA with punctuality and professionalism. Having served 20 years in the US Navy and experienced numerous PCS moves, I can confidently say that Southbay has provided the best service we've ever had. Unlike other companies, Southbay manages your entire moving process internally, ensuring quality and accountability. The dedication to excellence from every team member and the direct involvement of the company owner made a significant difference. They truly listened to our concerns and tailored their services to meet our needs. Bottom Line: For any future moves within the US, Southbay will be my first call. A heartfelt thank you to Maribeth, Peter, Derek, and Nancy for making this move a joyful experience for my family and especially for bringing a smile to my wife's face after many challenging moves. This is my second time using this company for a major move across the country. Both times the team has been very punctual, polite and very professional.
