The village of Northfield is located about 19 miles north of Chicago in Cook County.  Although settled in the mid-1800’s, the community did not begin to evolve into its modern form until the early 1920’s when the entrepreneur Samuel Insull constructed the Skokie Valley Line of the North Shore Railway through the town.  Today, the village still retains a small, country feel.  A notable attraction is the 1948 Henry P.
