Get to know Lisle, IL
Lisle is a far western Chicago suburb that was first settled in 1832, eventually becoming incorporated as a village in 1956. Lisle is home to the Morton Arboretum, established by the founder of the Morton Salt Company, Joy Morton, in order to study and conserve domestic and international flora. There are a number of corporations based in Lisle, as well a large FBI office, with many of these operations being located on Warrenville Road, as well a large FBI office. Lisle experienced rapid growth in the 1980’s, but has since seen very modest growth as the availability of land has dwindled. A change in employment is a common reason people move from Lisle.
