Get to know Tustin, CA

The city of Tustin is located in Orange County.  It was once part of the larger Rancho San Antonio owned by Jose Antonio Yorba and then the smaller Rancho Santiago de Santa Ana in the 19th century.  The city was founded by Columbus Tustin, a carriage maker, in the 1870’s.  Tustin was incorporated as a city in 1927.  It experienced a postwar boom and farmland and orchards were converted into housing tracts and retail space.  The Tustin Unified School District and Rockwell Collins are the city’s top employers.
