Get to know Perris, CA
Perris is a city in Riverside County. It was pasture land until the land boom in the 1880’s brought settlers to the Perris Valley. The city was founded around the California Southern Railroad depot in 1885. The city was named after the chief engineer of the railroad, Fred T. Perris. The City of Perris was incorporated in 1911. The main employers include Ross Stores and Starcrest of California. Lake Perris and the Rock Castle house are notable attractions.
