Get to know Encinitas, CA

The beach town of Encinitas is located roughly 25 miles north of San Diego.  The name means “little oaks” in Spanish.  It was incorporated as the City of Encinitas in 1986.  Popular attractions include La Paloma Theater, Hansens Surf Shop, and Moonlight Beach.  Notable residents have included Richard Dreyfuss, Mary Pickford, and Eddie Vedder.
