Get to know Chino Hills, CA

The affluent city of Chino Hills is located in the Chino Valley.  The area was used as grazing ground for Mission San Gabriel cattle beginning in 1771.  The land is a swamp and subject to frequent floods.  Prior to the 1970’s the area was mainly rural land used for equestrians and dairies because of the rolling hills.  However, rapid development at the end of the 20th century brought homes, shopping centers, and parks.  Notable attractions include the Vellano Country Club.  The top employers in Chino Hills are the Chino Valley Unified School District, the City of Chino Hills, and Costco.
