Hillsboro Village is an up-and-coming, relaxed, trendy neighborhood just south of downtown Nashville. The area is littered with comfy coffee shops, trendy restaurants, and some of the best live country music you can find. With two universities blocks away, Belmont and Vanderbilt students can be found around the entire Hillsboro Village neighborhood studying for exams at a local cafe. Despite being a smaller neighborhood, there’s no shortage of activities in the vibrant area of Hillsboro Village.
Hillsboro Village is protected to their southern border by I-440. The western border extends up 21st Avenue up north to Magnolia Boulevard. The northernmost border is Wedgewood Avenue which extends down to the eastern boundary, 12th Avenue.
Martin’s is consistently ranked as one of the best BBQ places in Nashville and the entire country. Most people spring for their ribs, pulled pork and brisket.
This classy restaurant is ranked the #2 restaurant in Hillsboro Village. They mainly serve fish and steak, but be sure to try out their chicken and waffles, a southern classic.
Hillsboro is littered with coffee shops and Frothy Monkey is a favorite of the locals. The shop is popular among Nashville residents as they also serve pastries and sandwiches.
This old-school breakfast joint has been a Nashville tradition since they opened their doors more than 50 years ago. Lines normally wrap out the door and around the corner, so be sure to get there early!
If you’re looking for a classic burger place, Burger Up is for you. Even though they specialize in burgers, they also have a variety of appetizers, such as buffalo wings tossed in Martin’s BBQ sauce.
