About Nolita

Nolita, short for “North of Little Italy”, is a tiny neighborhood located just east of SoHo. Located in Lower Manhattan of New York City, Nolita is a growing area with some of the best food in the entire city. The four-block radius has more than 50 restaurants that call it home, adding to the prestige of this area. Whether you’re in the mood to eat, shop, or listen to some live music, Nolita can accommodate it all. 

 

The Bowery Ballroom on the east side of Nolita welcomes some of the most talented musicians in the world; there’s never a shortage of concerts and events at this venue. The area is also extremely cultured, especially with the Museum of Chinese in America located one block south of the neighborhood. For those looking to worship on Sunday mornings, the historic Basilica of St. Patrick’s Old Cathedral is located in the heart of Nolita. For being such a small area, it certainly has something to please everybody. You won’t go bored in Nolita.

Nolita is a small neighborhood bordered to the north by E. Houston Street and the west by Lafayette Street. The east is bordered by Bowery and the south’s boundary is Broome Street.

Rated as the #1 restaurant in Nolita, Balzem has some of the best Mediterranean food in New York City. The small bar with wine loading the walls is a popular spot for a quick bite or glass of wine. 

 

Gran Tivoli

This rustic Italian bar is the 2nd best rated restaurant in Nolita and is always packed on the weekends. Throwback Italian dishes and red wine from all over the world makes this place special.

 

The Usual

If you want a great burger in the heart of Manhattan, make your way to The Usual. The outdoor patio seating paired with their comfort food and IPAs make this joint a go-to. 

 

Nolita Pizza

This pizza joint is as New York as it gets. A small walk-in area houses Nolita Pizza, where you can opt for just a slice or the whole pie. The classic eatery is a favorite of most locals. 

 

Lighthouse Outpost

This upscale breakfast and brunch restaurant serves trendy food that changes seasonally. The salads and bowls are their specialty but their homemade sourdough bread is a must have.
