Nestled in northern Manhattan, Inwood brings out some of the most scenic views in all of New York City. It has a multitude of parks and historic sites to visit and remember when times were simpler. Inwood is bordered to the north by the Spuyten Duyvil Creek and the east by the Harlem River. The west is also bordered by a body of water, the Hudson River. The south is cut off by Dyckman Street and Riverside Drive.
Straddling the banks of the Hudson River, The Hudson is the best place in Inwood for scenic views, seafood, and BBQ. They’re always seasonally closed for the brutal New York winter but will reopen May 1 for the summer and fall months and you won’t want to miss it.
It’s no surprise that Inwood Bar and Grill, with more than 50 TVs, is the #1 restaurant in Inwood. With their amazing bar food and beautiful outdoor patio ambience, it’s a must if you’re in the area.
This quaint little restaurant and wine bar is popular among locals. Their upscale bar with wine lining the walls invites you into this trendy restaurant; their burgers and pasta are must-tries.
If you’re looking to grab a quick tostada or sofrito, Guadalupe is the place to go. Be sure to stop in for happy hour during the week to enjoy half-priced wine bottles to split among you and your friends.
From the outside, G’s might scare off some people but the tradition and classic style makes it unique. The old-school breakfast countertops doesn’t provide for a lot of seating but they make it feel like a tried and true New York bakery and cafe.
