About Inwood

Nestled in northern Manhattan, Inwood brings out some of the most scenic views in all of New York City. It has a multitude of parks and historic sites to visit and remember when times were simpler. Overlooking the magnificent Hudson River, the west side of the neighborhood has some beautiful sites and sounds. Grab a po’ boy at The Hudson on the west side and enjoy the views from the river or an empanada from Guadalupe, there’s an abundance of options in Inwood.

The neighborhood is also home to the Columbia University Athletic Complex, where all Columbia sports play their games. It’s no Madison Square Garden but the Columbia Sports Center will have to do for now. The area is also home to some of the finest cuisine in Manhattan. Most restaurants specialize in Mexican fare but you can find any type of food at one of these small spots. If you’re looking to watch the Knicks, Nets, Giants, or Jets game, head down to Inwood Bar and Grill with over 50 TVs to immerse yourself in the action. You surely won’t run out of things to do.

Inwood is bordered to the north by the Spuyten Duyvil Creek and the east by the Harlem River. The west is also bordered by a body of water, the Hudson River. The south is cut off by Dyckman Street and Riverside Drive.
