For those who enjoy the reinvigorated side of Detroit, Corktown has what you’re looking for. Previously known as Detroit’s Historic District, Corktown now boasts unconventional building styles, street art and a hipster ambiance. And if that isn’t enough, Corktown also has plenty of residential areas for young professionals and families.
Just west of downtown Detroit, Corktown is bordered by I-75 to the north, Lodge Freeway on the east, Bagley and Porter Streets on the south, and Rosa Parks Boulevard (12th Street) on the west.
