Whitcomb.  The name came from the location in a glen combined with Whitcomb’s wife’s name, Leadora.  The City of Glendora was incorporated in 1911.  The city’s top employers are the Glendora Unified School District and Citrus College.  Notable residents have included Rocky Dennis and Soleil Moon Frye, who were both born in Glendora.
