By now we can all agree that every company is saying something, on blogs, in the news, on Reddit and Instagram. To stand out in our fragmented and often overwhelming media landscape it is just as important to find the right platforms to express a brand’s story as it is to say anything at all.
That’s where I’m hoping to lend a hand to Move Matcher: manifesting a few of the words and ideas bouncing around my own head to create moving stories and news worth sharing.
Allow me to introduce myself, my name is David, and I am the newest addition to the Move Matcher team. Generally, it is kind of unusual for someone to author their own hiring announcement, but since I’ll be joining the crew to take on much of the different written elements of the Move Matcher brand, it felt appropriate for me to break the news personally.
Throughout my career so far, I have been striving to create content that best supports the varied organizations I have worked for. Between radio broadcasts, podcasts, written news briefings, e-books, video shoots, and websites, I’ve worked hard to be a content generalist who has a backpack full of tools to create and tell meaningful stories.
I live in Chicago with my wife Josie and our cat Snowball (who consequently looks nothing like a fluffy white snowball). In my free time it’s not unusual to find me biking down Chicago’s boulevards, at the bouldering gym, or just playing video games on the couch.
During my time at Move Matcher I’ll be working to develop a unique voice that will not only set us apart from other companies but will allow us to help give people a little more Zen than they had the day before. There are enough things in life that give us headaches and hiring movers shouldn’t be one of them. My goal is to help more people know that, as far as moving goes, there is in fact a better way.
